Cancel anytime — you keep access until your billing period ends. We don't offer refunds for partial months. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days.
We may change pricing with 30 days notice. Price changes won't affect your current billing period.
Your Responsibilities
Don't misuse the service. This includes:
- Trying to circumvent usage limits or authentication
- Sharing your account with others
- Using automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the service
- Reverse engineering or attempting to extract our underlying technology
- Using the service for anything illegal
- Reselling or redistributing the service
We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
Your Content
You own your writing. We don't claim any rights to text you analyze. We don't store the text you submit beyond what's needed to process your request.
No Warranties
LitReflect is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee that:
- The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Suggestions will be accurate, useful, or appropriate for your work
- The service will meet your specific requirements
LitReflect is a writing aid, not a replacement for professional editing, and suggestions are AI-generated.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Our total liability for any claims is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose
- If you haven't paid us anything, our liability is limited to $50
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LitReflect and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your violation of these terms
- Your violation of any third party's rights
- Any content you submit to the service
Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution First: Before filing any legal claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us. We'll try to resolve it within 60 days.
Arbitration: If we can't resolve it informally, any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Arbitration will take place in Delaware, USA (or remotely if permitted). The arbitrator's decision is final and enforceable in any court.
No Class Actions: You agree to resolve disputes with us only on an individual basis. You waive any right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding against us.
Exceptions: Either party may bring claims in small claims court if eligible. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. If arbitration doesn't apply, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Delaware.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. We'll notify you of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms. If you don't agree to changes, stop using the service.
Changes to Service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We're not liable to you or anyone else if we do.
General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any term isn't a waiver of our right to enforce it later. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service.
