Text you analyze: When you use LitReflect, the text you select is sent to our servers for analysis. We process it and discard it immediately — we don't store the text you submit.
Account info: If you subscribe to Pro, we collect your email address to manage your subscription and verify your identity across devices.
Usage data: We track how many queries you make per day to enforce limits. We may also collect anonymized analytics to improve the service.
Payment info: Payments are processed by our payment provider. We don't see or store your full credit card number.
What We Don't Do
- We don't read text you haven't explicitly selected and submitted
- We don't track your browsing history
- We don't sell your personal information
- We don't use your writing to train AI models
How We Use Your Data
- To provide the service (analyze your text, return suggestions)
- To manage your subscription and verify your account
- To enforce usage limits
- To communicate with you about your account
- To improve the service
Third Parties
We use third-party services for hosting, payments, and email. These providers have their own privacy policies. By using our service, you acknowledge that your data may be processed by these third parties.
Data Location
Our servers are located in the United States. If you're outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the service, you consent to this transfer.
Data Retention
- Text you analyze: Not retained — processed and discarded immediately
- Account data: Kept while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account closure
- Usage logs: Kept for up to 90 days
Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit. However, no system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
Data Breaches
If we experience a data breach that affects your personal information, we'll notify you via email within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, as required by applicable law.
Your Rights
You can:
- Request a copy of your data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Cancel your subscription at any time

Children
LitReflect is not for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.

We may update this policy. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or through the service.
